Dear colleagues! You are welcome to take part in the conference “Modern Information Technologies and Written Heritage: from Ancient Texts to Electronic Libraries”, devoted to issues in the development and creation of modern systems for storage, processing, description, analysis and presentation of ancient and medieval written relics and monuments. The aim of the conference is to draw attention to the development of electronic sources pertaining to the humanities and their application in scientific researches and teaching. The organizers of the conference invite participation by all those interested in theoretical and applied problems on the topic, i.e., researches, lecturers, librarians, archive workers, programmers, students and post-graduates. The conference continues the work begun in Izhevsk in 2006 at bringing together specialists on linguistics and information technologies involved in written heritage studies. The program of the conference also includes a workshop with lectures and hands-on activities and poster sessions on information systems and tools. The working languages of the conference are Russian and English.
