Each of them has its strong and weak sides. However XML-based e-editions seem to be more convenient for everyday scientific practice, because it is much easier to adjust them to permanently changing investigators' needs.

In this article there are presented some results of the Trinity Miscellany’s (Troitsky sbornik) of the 12th–13th centuries complex investigating. These results were achieved owing to including methods of computer analysis data and their visual presentation in histograms. Using methods by L. Moskaleva in our research confirm efficiency of this methods and its perspective for different linguistic researches.
