This paper discusses the problem of homonymy and
polysemy in Old Russian. The author accepts V.M. Markov's opinion on the absence
of polysemic words in Russian and a semantic way of word-formation as a source
of homonyms. The experience of creating an electronic grammatical dictionary of
Old Russian, where differentiating homonyms and making grammatical markings are
important, is discussed.
