This paper presents an overview of digitized photocopies of transcripts of one of the Slavic sources for Cyril and Methodius, the Assumption of Cyril the Philosopher, held in the Scientific Archive of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

This paper focuses on issues related to creating a new edition of the Sermon Against the Bogomils by Presbyter Cosmas (from the second half of the 10th or the beginning of the 11th century) based mainly on two existing critical editions of the text: of M. G. Popruzhenko (1936) and Y. K. Begunov (1973).

Тhe vita of St. Sabbas the Sanctified, written in Greek by Simeon Metaphrastes and Cyril of Scythopolis, were translated in medieval Slavonic milieus. In addition, another hagiographic text was disseminated in Bulgarian vernacular compilations of hagiographic texts in the 17th-19th centuries, known as modern Bulgarian damaskins. This paper offers an overview of these Slavic texts.

Manuscript lexicons were the most popular lexicographical genre in Russia during the 16th and 17th centuries. More than 100 manuscripts have come down to us safely, and the bulk of them belong to the so-called “second type” of Azbukovnik. A corpus-based analysis of the manuscripts made it possible to improve previous classifications. This involved distinguishing several redactions among representatives of the second-type Azbukovniks and expanding the Grammatical and Fyodorov groups of copies.

This paper provides codicological and palaeographic descriptions of the Slavic-Russian Apocalypse dating from the end of the 14th century (RSL, Tr. 119). The main emphasis is on the localization of the manuscript with the help of an ornament and backgrounds, as well as determining the number of manuscript hands.
