Paper submission

Application form: proposals for the conference should be sent to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and should include the following information:

  • Paper title;

  • 5-10 keywords;

  • Author’s (authors’) first and last names;

  • Affiliation (institution), job title;

  • Educational status or degree obtained (student, postgraduate student, PhD, professor, etc.)

Deadline for submission of application forms: 31 December 2015.

Deadline for abstracts: 25 January 2016.  

Reviewing: The abstracts submitted to the conference will be peer-reviewed. The Programme Committee will reject papers not meeting the conference themes or quality requirements. The reviewers’ comments will be transmitted to the authors.

Guidelines for the authors

Abstracts are limited to 8500 characters (including whitespace).  Papers must be sent to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it in both .DOC/.DOCX/.ODT and PDF formats. Text font: Arial 12 pt. Spacing: 1.5 lines. Margins: 2 cm on all sides. Paragraph indentation: 1 cm. Page numbers: centered at the top of each page. Alignment: justified. Word hyphenation must be avoided.

Italics and bold may be used for emphasis; avoid using capital letters, letter spacing, and underlining. Glosses should be given in single quotes (‘ ’). References should be given in square brackets and formatted in the following way: [surname_of_the_first_author_or_the_first_word_of_the_title year_of_publication].

If the paper is written in English, references should be formatted according to Digital Medievalist journal guidelines (http://digitalmedievalist.org/journal/1.1/submission/#documentation). For papers in Lithuanian or Russian, see the corresponding call for papers.

All other kinds of notes (except bibliographic references) should be formatted as footnotes with automatic numbering.

If characters not available in Arial are used, the corresponding fonts should be submitted with the paper.

The following filename format is recommended: author’s_surname.* (for example, ivanov.doc).
