This article compares similar text fragments of Old Russian chronicles created at different times. It demonstrates how the formation of verbal participles of present and past time depends on the aspect of the generating verb.

Despite the many
extant documents, Bulgarian written literature from before the Renaissance is
still not thoroughly studied. Paulician literature from the end of the 18th
century is a valuable source for Bulgarian historical grammar and dialectology.
Such literature strives for intelligibility and accessibility, but studies from
this period so far mainly use Damaskian literature. The purpose of my study is
to shine light on Paulician literature and to prove that it is an example of a
literary language with a vernacular base.

The union of textual
criticism with information technology has been a very popular topic in academic
discussions, and there are a considerable of number of resources available for
the medievalist. Some of these will be used to prepare a very specific digital
edition which will shed light on the manuscript transmission of medieval
Galician-Portuguese poetry. For this purpose, the edition will focus on
linguistic textual variation since it can be crucial in determining the origin
of manuscript transmission.

In this paper the
possibilities of the Russian National Corpus as a diachronic research
instrument are presented. Currently the corpus includes deeply annotated Old
East Slavic texts (manuscripts and birchbark letters) as well as Middle Russian
texts still lacking grammatical information. It is shown that usage of both
corpora yields new results in studying rare forms such as the pluperfect and
prefixed comparatives; examples of these results are given.

This paper is devoted
to the description of nouns with the agent suffix -tel’ in the Trinity
Miscellany (Troitskii sbornik) of the 12th–13th
centuries. Analysis of this word-formation type has revealed not only ordinary,
traditional nouns from manuscripts of Old Russian and Old Slavonic but also
rare or unique word with the suffix -tel’ or hapax legomenon such as ispisatel’ (исписатель).
